Mary Immaculate School is committed to providing a safe, disciplined, respectful and nurturing environment in which every student can learn, grow and develop good character. Students and parents/guardians are expected to follow the rules and regulations of the school.
1. Discipline & Conduct
- Students are expected to maintain a high standard of discipline, morality, honesty and good conduct at all times.
- Students must treat the Principal, teachers, staff members and fellow students with respect, courtesy and politeness.
- Students are expected to behave responsibly and courteously both within and outside the school premises.
- Any form of misconduct, indiscipline, disrespectful behaviour or violation of school rules may invite appropriate disciplinary action.
2. Attendance & Punctuality
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for every student.
- Students must arrive at school on time and be present for the Morning Assembly.
- Students should reach the school at least ten minutes before the scheduled time of the Morning Assembly.
- The school gate will be closed with the first bell for the Morning Assembly.
- Students must fulfil the required attendance criteria for promotion and academic purposes.
3. Language
- As an English Medium School, students are encouraged to develop proficiency in English as both a spoken and written language.
- Students should speak in English within the school premises, except where another language is specifically required for academic purposes.
4. School Uniform & Personal Appearance
- Students must attend school in the prescribed school uniform and maintain a neat, clean and presentable appearance.
- Students are expected to follow all guidelines regarding personal grooming and school attire.
5. Participation in School Activities
- Every student is expected to participate actively in the Morning Assembly, Choral Singing, Physical Training, Games, House activities and other curricular and co-curricular programmes organized by the school.
- The House System forms an integral part of school life, and students are expected to participate in House activities with enthusiasm and team spirit.
6. Care of School Property
- Students must take proper care of school furniture, books, equipment, classrooms and all other school property.
- Writing or drawing on desks, chairs, walls or other school property is strictly prohibited.
- Any accidental or intentional damage to school property must be reported immediately to the school authorities.
- The cost of repairing or replacing damaged property may be recovered from the student responsible.
7. Personal Belongings
- Students are responsible for the safe custody of their books, stationery, uniforms and other personal belongings.
- All personal belongings should be clearly marked with the student's name.
- Students are advised not to bring valuable or unnecessary items to school.
8. Books, Publications & Other Materials
- Books, periodicals, comics, newspapers or other reading materials brought to school must comply with school guidelines.
- Any material requiring approval must be submitted to the Principal or designated school authority before being brought into or used on the school premises.
9. Leaving the School Premises
- No student is permitted to leave the school premises during school hours without the permission of the Principal or an authorized school official.
- Students leaving the school premises must carry the required Gate Pass or written permission.
- Lunch passes or special passes will be issued only on the written request of the parent/guardian and subject to school regulations.
10. Safety & Security
- Students must follow all safety instructions issued by the school.
- Parents/guardians are requested to inform the School Office promptly about any change in their address, telephone number or other important contact information.
- Students must not engage in any activity that may endanger themselves or others.
11. Academic Requirements
- Students are expected to maintain satisfactory academic performance and complete all assigned academic work regularly.
- Students must meet the minimum academic and attendance requirements prescribed by the school for promotion and other academic concessions.
12. Admissions & Transfers
- Parents/guardians must provide accurate and complete information in all admission forms and documents.
- No subsequent changes will ordinarily be permitted in submitted admission information except where approved by the school authorities.
- Transfer candidates must submit a valid Transfer Certificate from the school last attended, along with the required academic records and other documents.
- Admission to different classes is subject to the eligibility criteria, availability of seats and admission procedures prescribed by the school.
- The school reserves the right to determine admission in accordance with its rules and applicable regulations.
13. Communication with Parents/Guardians
- Parents/guardians are expected to maintain regular communication with the school and cooperate with the school authorities regarding their child's attendance, discipline, academic progress and overall development.
- Any change in contact details must be communicated to the School Office without delay.
- Parents/guardians are requested to carefully read and comply with all notices and instructions issued by the school.
14. Collections & Contributions
- No collection, fine, fund or contribution may be made within the school without prior written authorization from the Principal.
- Students may be requested to participate in approved school activities or charitable initiatives as permitted by the school authorities.
15. Compliance with School Regulations
- Admission to Mary Immaculate School implies the willingness of the student and parents/guardians to comply with the rules, regulations and policies of the school.
- The school authorities reserve the right to take appropriate disciplinary action in cases of violation of school rules.
- The Principal's decision in matters relating to discipline, safety and the proper functioning of the school shall be final, subject to applicable rules and regulations.
16. General
- The rules and regulations of the school may be amended, revised or updated from time to time in the interest of students and the school community.
- Students and parents/guardians are expected to remain informed of such changes and comply with the updated regulations.
The cooperation of students and parents/guardians is essential in maintaining a safe, respectful, disciplined and positive learning environment for all.
